How to calculate the weight of roofing sheet ?

The weight of a roofing sheet can be calculated according to the following formula:

Thickness (mm) * Width (m) * Length (m) * 7.85 = (kg/pcs)

Please note that the width here refers to the overall width rather than the effective width.  

let's take the picture as an example, the total width is 1m, if the length of the roof tile is 3M and the thickness is 0.5mm, then the weight of each piece is about 11.775KG (0.5*1*3*7.85) .The density of carbon steel is about 7.85 g/cm3, The coating is very light to be neglected. Following this method, you can know the weight of each roof panel.
